Rafael is a filmmaker currently in the pre-production phase of a 15-minute documentary that intimately and poetically explores how and why people connect to the divine. Through interviews with individuals from different faiths, the documentary will investigate the roots of human spirituality and the influence of culture and ancestry on religious practices.

Since moving to Portugal in 2018, he has brought 15 years of experience in scriptwriting and advertising production. In fiction, he wrote the Portuguese-Brazilian feature film Amo-te Imenso and is the creator of a dramedy series about Brazilian immigrants in Portugal, currently in the fundraising phase.

Living between Ireland and Portugal, he brings 17 years of experience in the Brazilian audiovisual market, having worked on 20 feature films, 15 TV series, and 3 soap operas, with notable collaborations with major players such as HBO, Globo Play, Netflix, and TV Cultura.
